Remembrance

School is a place where we can learn a lot of things that we could apply in our daily lives. It is where a person usually grows into his more mature self, due to the learning that he continuously receives. It is also a place where we found the people whom we considered as our friends now.
Math teaches us how to deal with numbers. Science shows us how the life of a living thing starts. MAPEH teaches us how to sing, dance, create arts and how to be athletic. And ICT, ICT teaches us lessons that are related to computers which we all know that it is something that is being utilized all over the world nowadays.
This grading, I learmed how to use Photoshop without the help of our teacher. Isn't that amazing? I could use the knowledge that I gathered through this lesson in the near future if I need to enhance photos.
Studying is one step towards our dreams so we must really be hardworking for us to fulfill those dreams. The process might not be easy but finally getting your goal is the sweetest thing one can receive.

Work to Conquer

Every person in this world does have a dream or an ambition which one wants to fulfill during his / her life. This very dream encourages you to do better and better and move towards your goal. Not everything you think of can be your dream. Some things are just a part of the fascination you grow up with during your childhood. However, your dream plays an important role in your life.
Taking this important aspect into account we have come up long essays and short essays for students on this important topic. The essays should provide an insight to the students on how to realise a dream in one’s life and shall benefit them in studies as well.
Every day I like to take some time aside from my responsibilities to think about my dreams and all the goals I want to achieve. My dream is to become a successful accountant.
Only having a dream won’t help, I also need to work towards the achievement of my dream. As doing business is not as easy as it seems, first I need to understand the basics of what business actually is. This will the first step towards my dream. So after completing my intermediary, I have enrolled myself in a reputed college to do my Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). After completing BBA, I will also do my Masters in Business Administration. By then I will have gained the complete knowledge on business and its functioning which will help me reach my dream.

High school isn't a very important place. When you're going you think it's a big deal, but when it's over nobody really thinks it was great unless they're beered up.

Before the school year ends, a Foundation Day must be celebrated first. ISNHS foundation day usually starts in the month of March. This High School Day celebration is actually a two-day celebration. Ylocos KANNAWIDAN Festival

          "Umay kayon maki-fiesta'n!"
This festival at the end of January celebrates the best of Ilocos Sur culture, from traditional dress and folk dance to tribal rituals and marching band contests.
The Bicentennial Ylocos Festival goes full blast with the traditional opening ritual led by Gov Ryan Singson together with the indigenous people of Ilocos Sur and other local officials, with Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones as guests of honor.
The festival showcases the rich heritage, tradition, culture, arts, crafts and delicacies of Ilocos Sur. Locals revived traditional practices that Ilocano elders passed on in the annual Kannawidan Festival but made it more meaningful this 2018 because of the province celebration of Bicentennial Kannawidan Ylocos festival from January 27 to February 11. “The traditional opening display the identity proofs that there is a culture that we have form through the years, and we will continue our journey towards the future.
A lesson is learned for 2 centuries and that is, as province that we will continue with its glorious past in achieving a more glorious future. Let us walk and celebrate together our independence as a province, a starting point of our journey, let us all remember, and with pride let us be proud to be Ilocosurians for 200 years ,”said Gov. Ryan Singson. The Kannawidan (local term for traditional practice) festival was also an occasion to strengthen the Ilocano culture, recognize Ilocos Sur’s sons and daughters who brought honor to the province, celebrate abundant harvest or just to celebrate the Ilocano spirit that continues to drive locals to boost the province.
Various festivities were staged from trade, agriculture, aqua and livestock while a display of farm products opened the 17-day festival. Tradition was also found in the culinary treats that residents prepared including delicacies that Ilocos Sur is known for. Different Municipalities displayed products under the One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) booth inside the trade fair. Relative to this, on January 29, 2018 a concelebrated mass was done, followed by a procession. After that a boodle fight (Kinammet in Iloco meaning to eat with bare hands) eating the traditional way was led by the governor and other provincial officials, with Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and Dep Ed Secretary Leonor Briones and the whole PGIS Family. Right after, the viewig of Dancing Fountain and fabulous Fireworks was done at the Plaza Salcedo, in front of the Provincial Capitol.

Change is constant

Think about it – change is seen in the natural world’s transformations as well as its transition from season to season; change occurs among people who transform – both physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and even spiritually – every single day of their lives; and change is seen in civilization, politics, thought, art, geography and economy, etc., in just about every aspect of the modern world. The word “Change” refers to an act or instance of making or becoming different – such as history’s change, or transition, from a nomadic to an agricultural society.
If this notion is valid, then why does it seem that so many people are resistant to change? It’s a tough question to answer. But it warrants an attempt.
Consider all the changes in a person’s life: a person is born a small baby, they live and grow, then one day become old and decrepit, and they ultimately die. It is the natural order of things, but no one wants to get old, suffer and die. So naturally, people do things to resist this big change, only to finally come to terms that they – like all living things – must wither away into a state of nothingness.

Come one, come all!

The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated during the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. Before his conversion, St. Paul was known as Saul, a zealous persecutor of Christians. After he was touched by a personal encounter with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, his name was changed to Paul and he endured a lot of hardships and danger to spread the word of God to far places.
Vigan’s main church, the Metropolitan Cathedral is dedicated to St. Paul and it stands at the core of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. The major Catholic educational institution in Vigan that stands beside the church is also dedicated to the patron, the St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur. The Vigan City Fiesta usually lasts for several days. It includes within the period the celebration of the anniversary of the cityhood of Vigan, which is commemorated every January 27.
Biguenos from all over the country and even abroad return to Vigan, as it is the custom of Filipinos to return to their hometown to join their family and friends in the celebration of their fiesta. They are joined by thousands of visitors from other parts of the Philippines and other countries in enjoying the cultural shows, parades and street dancing prepared by the local government with the help of the local industries and communities. There are also food fairs, arts and crafts exhibits, as well as a visiting carnival.

New Me?

Image result for https://media3.giphy.com/media/dXoRFV204dcvR6F4JL/source.gif2019 is a year filled with happiness, surprises, and heartbreaks. In short, 2019 left me in mixed emotions.
A New Year is a blossom in our life and it is worth celebrating the day. It is a simple and known fact that January 1 is fabulously celebrated as the greatest and most important day all across the world. This day is considered as a day filled with great fun and enthusiasm. New Year is a special day for each person because it is time for welcoming another year, enjoying with family and friends, having fun and taking resolutions for the upcoming year.
Many Filipino people unite on New Year’s Eve, which is on December 31, to celebrate a midnight meal known as the Media Noche. It is also common to stay awake to greet the coming of the New Year. New Year’s Day is also characterized by Filipinos lighting fireworks and making a lot of noise to drive away evil spirits. This belief originated from the Chinese.
The elderly encourage children to jump at the stroke of midnight so that they would grow up tall. Many people display 12 circular fruits and wear clothing with polka dots to symbolize money. It is also popular practice to open all the doors and windows at the stroke of midnight to let in the good luck. Many Filipino families also read the Christian bible and attend a church midnight mass. It is common for many Filipinos to blend religion and superstition in celebrating New Year’s Day.

I'm great at making New Year's resolutions. I'm also great at forgetting about them. This is probably because of my total lack of discipline, which…I'm working on. But I think it's also because the entire culture of New Year's resolutions encourages improvements that are so vague as to be useless. That’s why changing myself doesn’t necessarily depends on me wanting to change just because I want to, I change because the experiences that I gain makes me change.

Learning is a Process

I have always been a thinker, but throughout my coursework, I have greatly sharpened my critical analysis skills. Instead of focusing on proposed meanings or biographical background, I have learned to continuously ask "why" on many different levels. I challenge myself to dig into a text as deeply as possible and unpack every detail to develop a satisfying close read. Though going to school is commonly referred to as necessary, I think with many chosen professions, going to a public or private school is not required in order to achieve a certain level of competence.

It is not easy to forget what life is like without the internet. I seem to be locked into the internet, with almost every endeavor I do connected to it. I think this is the major issue with the internet: it has become so useful that it has taken over my life, including countless others. Sometimes, making something better and better gives way to making life situations worse. If I want to write, edit, make music, be entertained, learn, play games, communicate with others, visit new places (at least artificially), to research, to apply for jobs, and more, I use the internet.

I am so glad that we have ICT as one of our subject because we now know some of the essential things that are connected with computer. We are being molded into becoming a more prepared version of ourselves for the future. I am thankful that we have a teacher that has been teaching us with vividness and clarity.

Season to be Jolly

Almost ordinarily, when a special someone celebrates a birthday, what we do
to well-wish that person, offer a present or celebrate the occasion with revelry and fanfare for it to be remembered by the celebrant as a momentous event of his or her life. Not that it is wrong, it is not right to do it on Christmas. God does not want us to celebrate it that way. Christmas is not how you remember it but rather how you live it. It is not about dates. It is about "dating" it.
Christmas has come around once more. It is a season of merry-making and rejoicing – “a celebration of all celebrations” of sorts to commemorate the birth of the most important person in history. But Christmas is not just about the birthday of God's son and that's not also the reason why we celebrate and honor Christmas better than our birthday or any important anniversary in the family. If God really wanted us to celebrate it that way, God would have schemed Jesus' birth in the same fashion we celebrate it today. But He chose a simpler way to do things because He wanted us to celebrate the "essence" not the event.
Every person has his own priorities, his own wants and needs. Some people may choose material things, while others may prefer tangible ones such as love, peace, prosperity and good health among others. No matter what these people wish for these holiday season, what matters most is that the desires of their hearts are granted as long as nobody is hurt, right?
Whichever of these are important to you this holiday season, just remember that it’s the thought that counts and that love is the most important thing in the world. When love governs our hearts and minds, everything will follow and we don’t need to wait for Christmas time to share our love to other people.

SPEAK OUT

It is one of the most pervasive violations of human rights in the world, one of the least prosecuted crimes, and one of the greatest threats to lasting peace and development. We all know that we have to do much more to respond to the cries for justice of women and children who have suffered violence. We have to do much more to end these horrible abuses and the impunity that allows these human rights violations to continue.
Any form of unwanted disruption in the lives of the victim is considered this type of abuse. This kind of abuse tends to happen after the victim has left the abuse situation and is trying to move on with their lives. Therefore, as a result, the partner reacts in this abusive manner. Although there are many other ways violence is inflicted against women, physical and sexual abuse are the most common from an intimate partner.

This violence against women and children has tremendous costs to communities, nations and societies—for public well-being, health and safety, and for school achievement, productivity, law enforcement, and public programmes and budgets. If left unaddressed, these human rights violations pose serious consequences for current and future generations and for efforts to ensure peace and security, to reduce poverty and to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and the next generation of development goals we are discussing.
The urgency of the need to respond to the problem of family violence and the paucity of research to guide service interventions have created an environment in which insights from small-scale studies are often adopted into policy and professional practice without sufficient independent replication or reflection on their possible shortcomings. Rigorous evaluations of family violence interventions are confined, for the most part, to small or innovative programs that provide an opportunity to develop a comparison or control study, rather than focusing on the major existing family violence interventions.
This situation has fostered a series of trial-and-error experiences in which a promising intervention is later found to be problematic when employed with a broader and more varied population. Major treatment and prevention interventions, such as child maltreatment reporting systems, casework, protective orders, and health care for victims of domestic violence, battered women's shelters, and elder abuse interventions of all types, have not been the subjects of rigorous evaluation studies. The programmatic and policy emphasis on single interventions as panaceas to the complex problems of family violence, and the lack of sufficient opportunity for learning more about the service interactions, client characteristics, and contextual factors that could affect the impact of different approaches, constitute formidable challenges to the improvement of the knowledge base and prevention and treatment interventions in this filed.

Keep it Green

Everything that surrounds us is referred to as our environment. It includes living, non living, natural or manmade things. Our natural environment includes trees, bushes, gardens, rivers, lakes, air etc. Ancient humans lived closer to the natural environment and therefore they lived healthier and longer. But today we are surrounded by the artificial environment that we have created for ourselves – buildings, air conditioned rooms, streets, shopping complexes, vehicles emitting poisonous gases, dust etc.
It would hardly require a second thought to conclude that this self made artificial environment of ours is a harmful creation. Not only we are breathing pollution but also doing considerable damage to nature, in our expedition to grow materialistically, further aggravating the situation. The more we move away from our natural environment, the more we move away from health and longevity. In the following essays we will discuss in details, the meaning and significance of environment and how it could be protected.
Man’s insatiable desires to expand his wealth and boundaries have lead to unreasonable deforestation. One of the major effects of deforestation is the increase in the level of the environmental CO2. Cutting down forest add more to the global warming than the factors like cars and trucks combined. Deforestation results in global climate changes and a depletion in bio diversity.
A better environment can make people feel more joyful and can be more beneficial for their lifestyles. Therefore, it shouldn’t be difficult for people to protect the environment and you can do this in many simple ways like Recycling waste, saving electricity, and staying healthy. First, recycling is a main step in protecting the environment, but the important outcome that people should take and accept is the idea of having a cleaner nature.
