SCI-tember

            Science is not just a subject in school, it is also being celebrated in Ilocos Sur National High School when the month of September comes, wherein students will showcase their knowledge in different fields in science by joining contests in line with their main prowess. A whole-month celebration headed by the Science and Yes-O Clubs with the help of their advisers.
          With the theme: “Science for the People: Enabling Technologies for Sustainable Development”, this celebration has an essay writing contest, Sci-quiz per year level, photo-envi, and more. Among all of those, the "G. at Binibining Kalikasan" is the most anticipated event. The students will gather in the school's gym to send their support to whoever they chose to or they are just going to simply enjoy the contest. 
          This celebration aims to give importance to our environment that is slowly dying as days go by. To spread awareness that if we will not make a move today, we will lose our environment. The goal of this celebration is to also exhibit how smart the students are when it comes to science. 
          Now you know what happens in our school when the calendar hits the month of September.
