A place that is full of dreams, should also be a place filled with happy people.
School, even by just thinking about it, you can already be stressed out. Requirements here, requirements there. Performance here, performance there. A place that is surrounded by bullies who can make the lives of the students even worse. The victims of bullying will then get sick and will eventually stop going to school. But there is this advocacy that aims to inculcate in the minds of students that school is not just a place for learning, but also a place for fun and enjoyment as they enjoy what they are doing. The Happy Schools Movement.
Through this program, the learners’ full potential is given the greatest attention by creating a happier and more positive school culture. There are 15 advocacy themes in this movement which varies among different subjects and ages of the learners. “Start Right, Grow Smart” (Kindergarten), “Our roots, Our Strength” (Mother Tongue), “Solve for Life” (Mathematics), “Sa ALS matuto ka, Tara na!” (Alternative Learning System) and “Paghubogsa Kabataan, Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan!” (Youth Formation) are just some of the advocacy themes of Happy Schools Movement.
In my own opinion, this is a great advocacy because school is stressing and some aren’t enjoying. Schools should also be fun, not just a place that stirs the mind of the students.
